The CAFMET

Whatever the field of analysis (environment, food industry, human or animal health,…), the field of tests (civil or mechanical engineering,…) or the field of calibrations (temperature, pressure, mass, flow rate…), the control of measurement process is essential to guarantee the reliability of the results given by the industries or the laboratories.

The CAFMET (African Committee of Metrology), which is an independent organization, aims at sensitizing the African organisations (public or private) on the importance of metrology for the sustainable development of a country,  helping them implement metrological process, proposing tutorials given by international well-informed experts, and having the competence of the laboratories recognized thanks to the quality assurance of the results they provide.

The launching of the "International Journal of Metrology and Quality Engineering" is good news for Science

Nowadays, Metrology and Quality Engineering cannot be treated separately no matter what the domain. Whether in industries or research laboratories, engineers and scientists cannot handle and treat correctly experimental data arising from a measurement process without a real knowledge of the fundamental discipline which is Metrology. Thus The “International Journal of Metrology and Quality Engineering” emphasizes the importance of Metrology in the different branches of Quality Engineering which are impacted by the quality of experimental data used both in theory and practice, such as safety and reliability. The journal concerns all applied sciences using measurements for instance Mechanics, Electronics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Medicine, etc. ..
